About The Nodmother, Infant Sleep Coach
Introducing………..
Hi, my name is Alex and I am a sleep coach, working remotely from Chandler’s Ford, Hampshire. I am also a mother, with a young family and it is through my own parenting experience that I found my way into the world of sleep coaching. Early morning rises in particular, were a recurring challenge for our family and I really understand how it feels to be sleep deprived and lost in the sea of conflicting information out there. Through learning all about sleep and eventually working with a sleep coach myself, I was able to overcome the sleep hurdles that I faced with my little one.
For me when I worked with a sleep coach, it was having someone else to guide, support and reassure me that made it successful. And that is what I offer to you, I will be your guide.
We will talk about the science of sleep and with the information you share, I will create a tailored plan for your little one. This will be age appropriate, taking into consideration their temperament and personality, whilst also respecting your parenting styles and wishes.
I don’t believe in generic routines or wake windows, every baby is so unique. That is why a crucial part of my role is to help you to identify your infant’s ideal routine.
Through working together I will guide you to have the confidence to support your infant’s sleep even beyond my support.
I can’t wait to hear from you and to guide you and your infant on your journey to better sleep.
My approach
My approach to supporting you and your infant’s sleep journey is personal to you and your infant. I support families using a range of responsive methods, aligning them with the specific infant, their parents and the family’s needs and goals. I do not use the extinction method (cry it out).
I acknowledge and wholly believe that what works for one family will not work for another. If one family wants a more gentle and slow method, whilst another desires a faster more traditional sleep training method, I do not judge and I will support. I can see the benefits to both, and I feel an important part of working with families is to understand this.
